Biblical Reset in the Prophetic
Sam McVay Jr.
ABOUT this message //
The Prophetic Ministry of the Church is always the target of an Enemy that wants to hijack, infiltrate, and pollute its expression. Sam teaches that it is important for us to submit to a Spirit-led reset which will recalibrate the prophetic in Jesus, in gospel mission, and in edifying body life.

The Prophetic Ministry of the Church is always the target of an Ememy that wants to hijack, infiltrate, and pollute its expression.
At these times it is important for us to submit to a Spirit-led reset which will recalibrate the prophetic in Jesus, in gospel mission, and in edifying body life.
1 Corinthians 14:1, 39-40 (ESV)
1 Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
39 So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
40 But all things should be done decently and in order.
The Apostolic view of prophesying includes:
1. Earnest Desire
2. Decent Order
Biblical Points of stewardship in Prophesying:
1. All sons and daughters prophesy: Acts 2:17, 18
2. The Greek word means to speak forth the mind of God.
3. It is delineated from other expressions in the church.
1 Corinthians 14:6 (ESV)
6 Now, brothers, if I come to you (1) speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some (2) revelation or (3) knowledge or (4) prophecy or (5) teaching?
4. We prophesy in part:
1 Corinthians 13:9-10 (ESV)
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
5. Because prophesying is subjective, it must be tested and guarded.
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 (ESV)
19 Do not quench the Spirit.
20 Do not despise prophecies,
21 but test everything; hold fast what is good.
22 Abstain from every form of evil.
