EQUIP SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
A SCHOOL NOT A SERVICE
Wichita Equip has had a long history of equipping the Saints for the works of service. But as we move along, the Holy Spirit keeps emphasizing that Equip needs to be more like a school and less like a church service. The Body of Christ is in desperate need of being more deeply rooted in their faith, knowing Scripture, and experience Christ during these days in increased pressure and warfare. For those wanting to draw near to the Lord in prayer and worship, please join us for our School of Prayer and weekly Prayer Furnace.
The Equip School of Discipleship involves a Core Curriculum delivered online weekly, with Q&A time, (4 Sections Outlined Below), Elective/Specialty Classes taught during the week, Opportunities for Ministry Development, & Lab Time
CORE 1 |
DISCIPLES HERITAGE
This class will unpack the Meta-Narrative of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation centered in the Supremacy of Jesus Christ.
Students will learn how Yahweh, the triune God, created all things, and then through a covenant with Abraham brought forth a global blessing in the new covenant through the God-Man Jesus Christ which will transform "this age" into the "age to come". And how vital disciples are to this plan.
CORE 2 |
DISCIPLES IDENTITY
This class will focus intensely upon the disciples objective and subjective union with the triune God with particular focus on their new, glorious, and eternal identity.
Students will learn in depth about salvation, sonship, and being Spirit-filled with a particular emphasis on the "abiding life" as well as the many references to being "In Christ". There will also be sessions on discovering and functioning in your biblical gifts- "your spiritual personality".
CORE 3 |
DISCIPLES OBEDIENCE
This class will focus upon the heart focus and lifestyle of a disciple which are connected to the words of Jesus- "teach them to obey my commands."
The disciple will dive deep into the first and great commandment and the second like it developing a lifestyle and focus upon loving God and loving neighbor. Also included will be sessions on Spirit-led love-motivated holiness, fellowship, and mission.

DISCIPLES BOOK

These classes are held intermingled between core curriculum classes.
These electives are specific topics that further equip the disciple in the practical out-workings of being disciples in our day to day world. Some classes with have workshops or hands-on training.
